Well I learned my lesson the other day. I realized I can’t win a battle against the wind, so I gave in and put my hair in a bun. I am still kicking myself for thinking chin-length hair was a good idea 3 years ago, but it’s finally growing out to a length where I can make a pretty decent top knot! The wind has brought in a cold front, and it seems like it’s here to stay for a couple months. But I don’t really mind! It just means more trips to Starbucks, sitting by the fireplace and an excuse cuddle up and watch movies all day long! Plus, my boyfriend will be home for a couple weeks in December, so I don’t really care what the weather does one way or another. As long as he is home I will be happy!
I wear a lot of skirts during the week, and I’m always on the lookout for something different to mix up my outfits. I spotted this skirt while shopping over the weekend and knew it would be a perfect addition to my skirt collection. I’m not an edgy person in terms of fashion, so I really love how the soft scalloping balances out a leather jacket and a printed top.

The days of wearing a tee and mini skirt (without tights) are coming to a close. It was a gorgeous weekend, so I took advantage of the last of the warm weather while I ran some errands. This skirt transitions so well into fall, and I’m already planning a couple outfits to wear during the upcoming months!

Have I mentioned how much I love fall? This outfit is the perfect example of my fall staples – loafers, dark skinny jeans and an over sized sweater. I kept my jewelry pretty simple and left my hair down in soft waves to keep things really comfortable. I’m planning on flying out to San Diego next month, and I think this might be the outfit I’ll wear on the plane!

A J.Crew catalog resurfaced a couple days ago. It’s always so exciting when I go through a stack of old magazines (and when I say old, I mean a couple months ago!) and come across a gem. I’m always so inspired by the styling of J.Crew to mix and match unexpected colors and patterns. I kept this combination fairly tame – I love how red and blue really work well side by side – and I tied the look together with touches of red on my purse and shoes.
